Nitrous oxide gas

Sedation is an altered state of consciousness. There are different methods of sedation our Doctors offer depending on how aware you wish to be during the procedure and how much you would like to remember.

Nitrous Oxide- For this type of sedation you are awake but relaxed. You will be able to hear and respond but should feel more calm and comfortable during your dental procedure. Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is delivered through a nasal mask that fits over your nose. This type of sedation would be a good option if you are slightly nervous or anxious and just needs a little help relaxing. Everything done during the procedure will be remembered and as soon as the nasal hood is changed to all oxygen, the effects of the Nitrous Oxide will subside quickly.
